David Bailey has published 45 books to date with three more to come out in 2022 and a record of 80s fashion due to appear in 2023.

His first publication was in 1964 and was a collection of images known as Box of Pinups. This was a 14x12” box containing printed portraits of the most iconic figures of the 1960s.  Subsequent books cover a diverse range of subjects and themes ranging from portraits and landscapes as varied as Papa New Guinea and Naga Hills to London's East End, in black and white and in colour.

In 2019, Taschen published the David Bailey, "Sumo".  A super size book, gathering images from the last six decades.  The subjects are as varied as Nelson Mandela, the Beatles, Salvador Dali, Bill Gates and the Queen.  David Bailey personally spent two years making the selection from his archive. The book is sold with a special stand designed by Marc Newson.
