David Bailey over the years has shot feature length documentaries as well as many award winning commercials  in the UK and the US.

His documentaries include studies of Cecil Beaton, Visconti and Andy Warhol which he was commissioned to do by Lew Grade for for ATV in 1971.

​

He won an Emmy for directing the “Sophisticated Lady” commercial for the American Cancer Society in 1990. In the UK his commercial for Greenpeace "Dumb animals" won a number of awards, as did the Olympus and Volkswagen series.  He is a recipient of the prestigious D&AD President's Award.
